MVP Global Summit 2007

Last week I attended MVP global Summit 2007 at Seattle, Washington,
It has been a amazing experience meeting world wide mvps in Seattle.
I was so excited by watching Bill Gates on the stage and also to step into MS campus for the first time. An interesting fact is that I have met the people whom I admire (Kaplan, Sean, Scottgu, Nish, Veer)
and had a good time with some of the people whom I never thought that I would met them.
It helped me to build world wide technical contacts.
This is my first time flying to other country and some what excited for that.
I am little bit worried about the whether in Seattle. But it's a beautiful, cool place.
First day of the Summit started with registration. After that we had IT Expo. On 12th Night it self we have APAC Regional Dinner in West in Hotel. As I was staying in Westin with Anjana we have a lot of fun when practicing cultural event that is going to be presented in Regional meet.
And we have done an event on World Peace .I really Lovveeee it .We were singing Sanskrit Sloka's and also waving our Indian Flags. Though we haven't done much practice we performed it well. Anjana and I were wearing Indian traditional (saree) dress which attracted most of the other country’s people. We got compliments like princes dress etc which makes me proud to be an Indian. And the performance by Koreans was really amazing.
After the Dinner Abhi(our MVP Lead) told us to come to the Convention center much early as 13th Morning first Session is BillG's which all of us are eagerly waiting for it. So in order to bag a first seat we need to come early. As thought we went at 7:00 am we could only get a seat in 4th row. One of the impressive thing from Bill Speech is how MS plans about their products and achieves it . I too need to plan about everything from now to 10 years of my life.... LOL :) ...
After Bill's Key note I attended Sessions on WPF/E, ORCAS, LINQ, and Vista.
And Evening we have been taken to Musem of Flight and that was a nice place.
We had dinner there. This is the only day that wee got Indian food and it was good.
And the next 2 days the Sessions are in MS campus . The moment I entered in MS I got a feeling that its my family. I attended a Session on WPF/E by Scott Gu.After the Session we had a talk with him .I used to admire him a lot.. I asked him how do you manage your time by blogging so much technical content....? then he simled and said - "I don't sleep" .
On the same day I attened session on Ajax Architecture. and roamed MS Campus did some shopping with Umesh at MS Company store. We have product group dinners on this day.
On 15th I atteded Sessions on Iron Python in ASP.Net and VSTS.

MS is goiing to release the next version of dotnet frame work that is 3.5 with the code name 'ORCAS' that includes AJAX, WWF, WPF/E, dynamic controls. And Iron Python is one of the intresting thing that we can now able to code dotnet in Python and build dynamic controls. The power of MS technologies in the next 2 years going to emerge a lot.

I met David (Know him through CC) and Venky ( through Dotnetspider) as I know them only online till the meet.

I enjoyed the meet and gained technical knowledge

There are some funny things happened like crossing roads even there is a red signal ( as we do here in hyderabad) and also tending to walk on left side of the road...
The thing that I can't adjust is food. We hardly got Indian food there...
Finally I can say that this is a wonderful experience... .
Can't wait till the next Summit.... Waiting for the Indian Summit....

Thanks for MS for invitation and the organizing the event.
I speacially thank our MVP lead Abhishek and also the Alliance IT for whichI am working for sponsoring the event.
