Office 2010 Community Launch at Guntur
All of you might have known that May 12th is the day for Microsoft Office Launch where Microsoft has released Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 RTM officialy to vendors, partners . As continuion to that we are going to have Community Launch in all the major cities soon. This time the idea has come why not in my home town? That idea has come into action, I am little bit partial about my home town Guntur to make office 2010 launch over there. I will be traveling to Guntur this week end to organize the event. I am also speaker for the event.

Women Leadership Summit
We Celebrated 100th year of international Women’s day organized by Silicon India across major cities in India.I missed the key note as I was struck in the traffic and bit delayed for the summit.

I am summarizing the extremely impressive speech from Kiranmai Dutt’s tips in corporate leadership.
Women – They can speak in volumes. They can create wonders. They are the people behind success of every one. Does woman choose leadership by design or by choice? Well. It depends. Nurturing, Caring and Maintaining good relationships and Empathy are some of the general characters of a woman. Firms need assertive leaders for organizations, otherwise it would be very difficult to manage a team. We have to concentrate on the right thing at right time. Let us do things that establish credibility. Let us be happy and perfect in what we are doing.
We are innocent. We are psychological. We are intuitive, fabulous, some facts to be substantiated. Women have Fetish, dedication & energy. How good we are. The society respects women. A mother, A Wife, as a daughter, As a Daughter-in-law, sister we have to do their responsibilities apart from work.
We are dependent on men and the fact is that men cannot live without women. It is only women need to do some house hold things in certain area. Do not expect men to understand and predict things. Communicate well whether it is at home or office or during work. Now the things are changed. World has many options and opportunities for women. How are we differentiating ourselves than others is important.

You might be good at speaking but not well at stopping. You need to know how much to speak, when to speak, what to speak and when to stop. If you can balance that you will get success in your life.Be bold. Be courageous. We are not rational as men are. You have the other kind of nuances at work. Some people might mis-understand the friendliness and take things granted. Do you have the courage to tell them that we are friendly but do not take it granted? It is Not quantity of time. It is the quality of the time that is important for being successful leader.
I got a chance to speak to Akhila Jaikumar (Director for Bodhtree Consulting) during lunch. She is so optimist,turns everything into positive,dedicated,maintain relationships, satisfis in whatever she do& an inspiration to all of us.

Where we are now is because of what we have done in the past. And it is also because of the choices we have made. It’s belief, confidence and display matters. Take total responsibility. It’s not about what other person has done. It’s about all you have done. Learn how to act?

1.3cs – Communicate! Communicate! Communicate! What it takes to be successful communication.?
Inform if any mistakes from your team.Do not hide them. Communicate a day before regarding status and delays (if any).Customers may accept delays understand mistakes but cannot accept if you do not inform prior. Know what to communicate. Explain logically. Women are good at explaining situations than Men. Never work on weaknesses or things you don’t like. Instead work on strengths. Let’s not think it’s man’s world. If that is so we wouldn’t have been here.
2.Ask, Analyze, Assess
Do not guess or pre assume. If you do not understand ask again. There is nothing harm in asking. Analyze if you can do it. Give a realistic assessment. Learn to say no in a polite manner if you do not like or if it is out of scope.Do not take much pressure if sales people promises we can do anything and get projects. That is thier job. You have to give alternative ways and explain logically this is the technical situation and hence we are suggesting this approach.
3.Review Respond, Re-plan
Planning is an important acting. No client gives all requirements at once. We are following agile model. So requirements keep on changing for every project. Your initial plan needs to be replanned. Take time to plan and Replan. Respond to client Emails. Do not overreact. Review team statuses ,Team works and asses quality of the work.
3. Design, Deliver, Delight
Design as per plan and then Deliver in right time to reach the ultimate aim customer satisfaction. Customer Delight is organization delight and personal delight too.
Here is Sridevi‘s (VP for LGS Global) thoughts on corporate leadership
Do not just stick to your task and think that your job is done. Take the opportunities in the organization. Grab them and prove yourself. Be cautious here. Don’t give chance for polished corporate politics to play. Do not make the things and credit to someone. Be ready to face corporate politics. Beware of what’s happening. But don not enter into them. Many people don’t work & take your credit. Make sure that you don’t fall into trap. Speak, ask & Listen is important.
Networking is the key to one's success in a professional life. “Women slog in their careers but are not smart enough to promote themselves. They do not get the recognition and make simple mistakes in their jobs. It could be one of the reasons that success eludes them.”
To face challenges put things straight. Sometimes be cautious about People around you with in organization Prove that you are equally capable and competent. Take Open commitments from the team. Put things transparent. Reward or appreciate for the kind of work done by the team. You do not need to be technically much stronger for a good team manager. You should know how to handle things under the pressure. If you can easily manage at home with your relatives, friends and family, good relations you can be successful leader in the office. Project management comes from home management. Be self motivated, self realized, self organize, reactive to things. Do not be over reactive. Women are very good at negotiating things, grabbing best deals, hard working, dedicated and responsible. Women want to be recognized for their hard work at home or office. There is lot of Social, Economical, and Political power of the women. Do proper thing at proper right time. Learn from past. Don’t worry about future

You have Family, Parents, Kids work at same time. So prioritize tasks important/ urgent. Make choice based on priorities. Do urgent & important things. Spend time to each task. I give priority to family since if I do not have problems there I can deliver productive work. You need not be super women. If you are able to manage at home you are very well can manage in the office. Make relationships to work within your circle. Identify conflicts and think it from the other side. Focus on productivity. Know each ones strength & weaknesses. Never think of any layoffs or kicking off team members. Instead be straight motivate, get things done from the team. Waking up early is very important that saves lot of time and good for health, very good habit. Never Skip your breakfast. You focus on right things. Fame & Money follows you. Some of the Characteristics of Women are Lionist, Ferocious, Lamb, Gentle, Angel to many people. You are Wo- man. You are the wall.
Post Lunch Session – Turning every Adversity into an Advantage
If you are a very good achiever in career life and your kids are not doing good then you are failed. If your family needs your moral support, you can step back & take the time with family. If you are taking break do not sit idle. Be associated with activities and certifications. Try to add strength to yourself. Country needs good and talented resources. Never ever give up. You should love what you do. You got to be perfect in what you do. If you are unique and scalable people come to you. Network with people. You got to believe that you are the best. Really impressive success stories from women in different fields and how they turned adversity into advantage. So what everything happens in life is for our good. Life is so simple to make it happy. Go ahead.
Here we are asked to share the success stories and some of them are really inspiring how they turned them into their success. I have spoken on some of my experiences how do I manage my personal and professional life, my MVP success story and how I achieved it. I got a very good response for it and people have lot of passion for Community Leadership.
The last track was about women entrepreneurs, who are CEO’s and interested in entrepreneurship, wishing to start own entrepreneurs discussed on various opportunities and government support for entrepreneurs. Lady Entrepreneurs Of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP was heading by Mrs Ramadevi provides training & funding for lady entrepreneurs not necessarily showing collateral.
The overall its good experience and learning on leadership, entrepreneurship technology, networking with top management in various organizations. This summit provided a platform for like-minded women to learn, develop, connect, and network. This is a memorable Women’s Day event.

Cloud Camp - Hyderabad
Cloud Camp is a un-conference where the sessions are unplanned before the event. The audience participates actively in the sessions for the agenda and speaking. You may not come prepared for the conference sessions and it is the participants who make the event live. The cloud camp first started in the year 2008.
I was at the venue IIIT, Gachibowli by 5:30 PM. The registration and entry has been very easy and didn’t take more than 2 minutes at the registration desk. IT Professionals , CEOs, Developers from different technologies have attended the event.
We have got half an hour time to networking with each other and exchange our business cards.
It started by Sidharth Sehgal with thanking everyone behind the scenes for making the event happen.The first session on cloud computing by Ramesh Mandava from HexaGrid gave an abstract of what is cloud computing and how can organizations benefit from it.
Rest of the event organized by Dave Nielsen where we asked several questions on Cloud computing which was answered by people working on cloud computing.

What is cloud computing?
Everything under the cloud... For a layman cloud is used as metaphor for internet. It improves scalability, and cut the cost,easy to maintain. Cloud Computing helps to develop, deploy and run applications that can be scalable (easily grow capacity), work faster (performance) and reliable (secure).Activate the environment whenever you need them and make retire when you don’t need. So you will only pay for what you eat and need. You can minimize the maintenance cost overhead in the traditional approach. This provides cost effective solutions for enterprise key demands. It is a grid of computers even if one fails the other one always ready to operate. It is a dynamic clustor where the load balance is done automatically.
Cloud computing is web service interface to Operating System Virtualization.
I am running Linux in my data center, in cloud words can be termed as "I am running a private cloud".
SASS- Software AS A Service ex: Salesforce.com & GMail
PASS- Platform AS A Service ex: Force.com, MicroSoft Azure, Google App Engine (GAE), Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM Virtual Images. It is a Grid for Developers to host their application code.
IASS- Infrastructure AS A Service ex: Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Rack space, Right Scale, VM Ware, IBM BlueHouse, Hexa Grid. This is Virually Infinite computing resources where Loadbalancing is done automatically
These are the fixed assets at Cloud Computing Vendor and the Capacity depends on the vendor.
Don’t get confused with Virtualization. It is subset of cloud computing
Grid Computing can be termed as a form of distributed computing
Disadvantages of datacenters
Datacenters have myriad of computers to solve the problem.
This form of computing lacks automation, agility, simplicity & SLA guarantees.
We formed as groups and professionals from different back grounds and technologies argued, talked, geeked, techied and fought on topics like what is cloud computing?
I suggested a topic on interoperability; performance and security on the cloud where I am supposed to lead the team, interested people on the topic joined my team. We need to come to conclusion in 45 minites.

1.Get and create the account at cloud computing vendor
2.You can create instance that has specific configuration using cloud computing vendor account
3.You can also create reserved templates and activate them whenever you require.
4.All your data is encrypted and secured, and if you want your data to be more secured, create a private cloud in your own data center. Cloud Computing runs on the top of the VM ware.
5.Amazon uses Zen and Microsoft uses Hyper-v for virtualization.
It is the ability to provide service or resource on demand, scalable and pay per what you use.

MUGH February UG Meet
We had UG meet yesterday and 20 turned up out of 58 registrations. As the capacity of the training room is 16, we are happy about the number. Though its working day and announced just before one day, it’s good that you people turned and I am the event organizer who made it happened.
I hope all of you have enjoyed the other side of the indexes session, how to provide simple solutions to ancient problems. I can say it as smart solutions to complex problems. Even I learned how effectively we can apply indexes and optimize query performance.

TEDX HiTech City - Inspiring Personality Development Event
I just came from TEDX event that happened at ISB Gachibowli, Hyderabad and I can say that it’s an amazing event, where I got the chance to meet all eminent speakers and inspiring achievers in the industry. The whole event is so exciting and encouraging young professionals, entrepreneurs to come with new and innovative ideas. The seed of an idea, flourishes, grown and how it became TED. It’s all about great ideas from eminent achievers.
Yes .TED is the place to share new Ideas together and encourage the talented people. There is no age limit to attend the event. There are school kids, students, IT Professionals, CEOs and celebrities as attendees. Indian School of Business (ISB) entrance itself looks aesthetic. It has plenty of place and beautiful trees around. While I was searching for Khemka auditorium building, I just said Hi to a person and we introduced each other, exchanged our cards, after some conversation I came to know that he was one of the speaker, who is also a scientist at ISRO and also worked for NASA. Such a simple and down to earth man. He is none other than who took us a tour to the moon, Mr. Syed Maqbool spent 20 years of his life in Ahmadabad.
I completed my registration and entered into Khemka auditorium. The event started with Smitha Madhav’s dance performance and continued by Bala Subramanian, Kanna, Muzeeb and Sarth’s sessions. I felt like first five sessions were O.K. kind of thing, not too much impressive. Then we have inspiring session from Nagesh , how he made the film ‘Hyderabad Blues’ and become success in his career. After this we had very very inspiring professional presentation from Karuna, so optimist takes problems as challenges and still believes that those are the causes of her success. She says business cannot succeed in a city that fails. Well managed cities make pollution free environment. Well governed cities have good health. Well planned cities can make everything for us. We have mechanisms, processes and law but we never implement it. As a citizen it is each one of us responsibility to follow and plan which in turn causes individual growth. She is 100% right.
Then we have Deepak Menon, Group Design Manager at Microsoft IDC , who introduced “Ribbon” UI in Office 2007. Prior to join Micro Soft he was working for Google on the applications like Google Talk, Google Doc, Google Maps, Google Map Maker, Google Video and Gmail. He gave impressive and interesting demos and presentation on how experiences define products?
Soon after the lunch sessions are getting more lively and improving quality. I liked Dr.Neeraj Raj’s idea who spoke on E-Learning idea into Health care domain, followed by Sarat Chandra, young dynamic entrepreneur who graduated from IIT and IIM, believes that kids don’t learn from pen and paper and we need to have practical implementation in our education system. He introduced a new way of teaching kids such as learning about numbers or nutrition facts with games and puzzles. After the session he was surrounded by so many people asking all sorts of questions and showing their interest to work with him. Stay Hungry!! Stay Foolish!! After attending Kanthi Kannan session on Right to Walk gives not only to make city pedestrian friendly but also how walking is good for our health. Jyotirmaya Sharma gave excellent lecture on DemoCracy.
We have session on End Corruption from www.piller.com, where they distributed zero rupee notes as a show case to fight against corruption. I got a chance to meet Nadendla Manohar who is Deputy speaker and MLA from our constituency (Tenali, my native place) spoke how young people are responsible for the growth of nation. It’s we that encouraging corruption. Anyone know that you don’t need to pay anything to get a Birth Certificate and you need to pay only Rs50 for thathkal if at all you need it urgently and it take 24 hours time to verify and get. I never know the fact , we paid money at Kukatpally office to get my Kid’s Birth certificate, even though we have all the proofs. The thing is to know the law and implement things. Vasudeva Varma showed excellent thoughts in presentation and video demos on Silky Computing. His research in the era of Speech synthesis and Text to Speech and speech conversion is excellent. Indic language support conversion tool, if you type or speak in Hindi it, converts to Telugu as text or speech. Raja Shekhar’s heart of living and his vision on 2050 is impressive. Plant the tree; it will save your health”. If we don’t protect our environment we have to admit the fact that, our kids has to show a tree from a museum saying that it’s tree to their children. If we do not take this as serious issue and start protecting environment we will be seeing more natural calamities in the near future. Last session ended by melodious poems from Iqbal Patni .
Tedx invited star Chaitanya, who is 17 years old boy running independent non-profit organization, who gave a chance to speak on the stage. He runs an organisation named PASSIONATE (www.passionatefoundation.org) which he founded when he was in grade 12. Passionate is working on the involvement of Youth into community service and Youth Led change I really appreciate Chaitanya; I was seriously sitting in the room and preparing for my EAMCET exam when I was 17 years. Every one stood up and clapped as respecting Chaitanya’s Achievement.
As the proverb says – Winners don’t do different things. They do things differently. After attending and listening all these aspiring real life stories, I admit that we need to be # 1 in our field with dedication and spirit. Then success comes to you. There is lot of hard work and time required to achieve the same.
It would have been good if speakers had chance to present on the topic for some more time as every speaker is like rushing to complete the presentation and none cannot cover all the things in 15 minutes.
Finally I can say that TEDEXHitechcity is great success. I thank the event Organizers and Volunteers working really hard for making event success. Everything was well organized on time. Food served was delicious. It’s very inspiring and personality development event worth for Rs 1000.
Yes .TED is the place to share new Ideas together and encourage the talented people. There is no age limit to attend the event. There are school kids, students, IT Professionals, CEOs and celebrities as attendees. Indian School of Business (ISB) entrance itself looks aesthetic. It has plenty of place and beautiful trees around. While I was searching for Khemka auditorium building, I just said Hi to a person and we introduced each other, exchanged our cards, after some conversation I came to know that he was one of the speaker, who is also a scientist at ISRO and also worked for NASA. Such a simple and down to earth man. He is none other than who took us a tour to the moon, Mr. Syed Maqbool spent 20 years of his life in Ahmadabad.

Community TechDays at Hyderabad

I would say that CTD at Hyderabad is success as we can see huge crowd more than 250 for the sessions. Though most of them are dev crowd every one stayed till the end of the event. What the passion the techies have on the technology!!
Harish Ranganathan was organizer for the event, came and helped in clearing the security check and having spot registrations.
Event started with my session on VS2010 Web Development Enhancements. The response was pretty good and with lots of very good questions during the session, after the session and also during the lunch. I was very happy that I would able to make it though I was busy at the MVP open day for the past three days .Yes. It was a very busy week for me. I explained the features on VS2010 spoke on ASPNET4 features and covered ASPNET4 demos and chart control. You might have noticed the excellent features on VS2010.
Arun's session was cool! WCF,WCF,WCF …everyone knows basics but don't really know how to use it in real time. We might struck in developing day to day apps incorporates, its worth for every one for attending the session.
Hariveer Singh, Program Manager at Microsoft gave cool demos on VS2010 LAB Management, which is going to be released soon. This is the instant feedback from audience for the product - Excellent and worth product.
Most of the people are from DEV crowd, I could see their interest in attending IT PRO sessions too.
Muqeet spoke on IIS 7.5 and SEO Tool KIT, where he got questions from DEV audience. The quality of the questions we got from Hyderabad UG is a lot improved and I really like the way they are interested and enthusiastic in learning advanced technology and technology changes.
Though we have continuous sessions without breaks, being last session, DEV audience Vijay made audience to sit and listen to his session through his interactive presentation.
Finally I can say that made the event success and that made professionals to reach what they are expecting.
